Update from Lucy - Year Out Program Manager

The Ghana Group and Peru Group have arrived safely at their destination and are now having some time to acclimatise before heading off to meet their families at the weekend.

The Ghana group is based in Accra for the week. They will spend some time with Tina, the in-country agent, learning about local customs and the language, Twi. They have been to the beach and are learning to cook a local dish today called FuFu.

The Peru group are spending time with Jane and Guille, the in-country agents. They are having daily Spanish lessons and will have a chance to learn about the local customs as well as exploring the beautiful city of Cusco and some of the Inca Ruins.

This week is an excellent chance for the students to rest and recover from their long flights as well as spend time time getting to know their new home for 3 months as well as each other.

Both groups head off to their families at the weekend.
