All Hallows Team B Update # 2

From the team in Kota Kinabalu
The markets were amazing! On the bottom floor was food and produce and there was fish that stank like nothing else. On the top floor were the real markets. It was soooo much fun! We all bargained and had a lot of fun. From there we accidently had an expensive dinner from a restaurant called "Hawaii". Yesterday and the day before we climbed Mount Kinabalu. It was very, very challenging, but very satisfying. The veiw was amazing but unfortunately we did not see the sunrise because it was too cloudy. We had 3 really good giudes that helped us up and down the mountain. Unfortunately a few of us got altitude sickness and all of us felt like we had elephants on our chests which made it hard to breath as we were climbing towards the summit. On the way down the mountain it started bucketing down rain, so unfortunately most of us are feeling a little sick. Once we got down (which felt amazing after being on the mountain for 32 hours) we headed back to the placewhere we were staying before the climb and collected our gear and hopped into a comfortable mini bus where most of us fell asleep for an hour and a half. Finally we arrived at Kota Kinabalu and we are staying at a really nice hostel. Today we got a sleep in (YEEESSSS), we have been allowed to split into groups of 5 to wonder the streets within a set perimetre. We are doing our laundry, getting supplies and having fun. Later this afternoon we will go to the beach and shop in the night markets and have some local food. Hpwever, after our climb yesterday we treated ourselves to a special dinner at Pizza Hut. It was what we really needed. We had special drinks and delicious pizza. In summary we are all having the time of our lives! We are experiencing the wonderful culture of Malaysia and trying things we never would have done before. To all you parents out there do not worry. We are very safe and are having an amazing time.
