Kincoppal-Vietnam Update

We are having a great time in Vietnam, we have been really busy lately and have experienced alot of Hanoi and will be sad to leave.

The city is breathtakingly beautiful, the diversity of people and the richness of culture are engaging. We are eating lotssss of new "mystery" foods and we are doing lots of shopping. We cycled around the whole city and in the past two days we have already seen Temple of Literature, the Mausoleum, and tonight we experienced the famous water puppet show. It was awesome. The traffic is nuts but we've managed to avoid much trouble so far... The drinking water is undrinkable but thats ok cause now we are living off coke... A new experience for Maddy. Michaela & Savannah are super organised and can navigate their way through any maze which is a skill we all appreciate, Kira and Alice are our friendly interperaters with the locals and Bridget is getting many marriage offers from everyone including Maddy. Emma is our walking, talking caulculator. Alice is our body gaurd and fights off over excited street benders. Yesterday we went shopping in the old Hanoi Markets where we spent alot of money on toys, nappies and blankets amongst other stuff for the orphanage. It was a good feeling to put our shopping knowledge to good use, Rabia has mastered the art of haggling and Domi is fearless at crossing the road. We hit the markets and the damage control is off the charts. We are seeing a CRAZY side of Mrs Langford and Ms Butler and we like it. They are willing to eat anything and have earned a reputaion of an iron stomach. Hope that doesn't backfire "pardon the pun". Travis must have swallowed a Lonley Planet at birth and is constantly entertaining us with many interesting nosies.
Tomorrow we are heading off to a super fun trek hopefully we will avoid any man eating mosquitos.
We miss you all back home and hope you are well.
Love Team Vietnam X

  6. Dear Micky,
Today we went swimming, it was really good. We also had a party at school. We all had to bring in something from our immigrant's country, so I brought in Pizza.
Hope your having a fantastic time!

Love Elena, Luke and Marisa :) :)

  7. Hope that the coke hasn’t sent you completely round the twist. Try not to catch jungle fever, trench foot, or the plague. Bernie says that there’s something on your face – and that you’re fat. Isn’t she horrible. Dad wore the poofy hat to speech and awards last night – Anna loved it. Love Zac Efron and R Patz. Mum loves you, and wants you to wash behind the ears.

  8. Hey Mix, Sav, Alice and Emma,
I hope you have a safe trek and make sure you look out for each other (e.g.if you see a strange insect flying around, whatever you do don’t tell Sav about it, or else the whole of Vietnam will hear her scream.)
