New & Improved UniBreak!

Update from Fi Reeves, UniBreak Program Manager

We have just added a number of new destinations to the website so make sure you go to www.antipodeans.com.au to see the expanded variety of placements we have on offer!

We have revamped our Nepal program which now includes the choice to volunteer on a conservation project or teach in local schools, work in an orphanage or rural health clinic in the Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara or Chitwan. Spend your free time in this stunningly beautiful country trekking in the Himalayas, spotting tigers in Chitwan National Park or learning new yoga moves in one of the countries many Alternative Health Centres!

Newly introduced is Argentina where you have the option to stay in the exciting hub of Buenos Aires and work with one of a number of organisations offering assistance to underprivileged and street children, teaching English, working on Art outreach projects or assisting in medical clinics. If you fancy a stint in the sticks go for the Patagonia program where we work with a grassroots organisation dedicated to fighting poverty in the Mapuche communities through programs encouraging rural development and education in Junin de los Andes.
As the second largest country in South America and the eighth largest in the world, with easy access to beautiful beaches, striking mountain ranges and deep jungle, Argentina is a fantastic destination for the keen traveller!

We have also extended our Thailand placement to include a program for medical and health care students in the south east of the country in Surin province. One of the most impoverished regions of Thailand, Surin offers the volunteer a well structured program within urban and rural hospitals and clinics, shadowing and assisting nursing staff in their daily work. Within easy distance of the Cambodian border, Thailand’s stunning beaches and the mountains to the north, our placement in Surin is an excellent choice!
