Antipodeans Abroad is a leading educational travel company with 15 years experience organising school-based leadership expeditions to the developing world.
We require leaders to supervise school student expeditions to India, Nepal, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya, Borneo, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, China, Bolivia and Peru during mid-year and end-of-year school holidays.
The groups take part in adventure activities and community projects for 3-4 weeks. Our focus is on leadership and personal development through teamwork, independence, cultural exchange and personal challenge. Are you an experienced overseas outdoor leader?
We are holding a Leaders’ Selection weekend in Sydney to recruit new leaders for 2013 expedition teams from NSW, QLD, ACT, VIC, SA and WA.
Venue: Elenora Uniting Venues, Elenora Heights, Sydney
Date & Times: 9am Saturday 23rd March - 4pm Sunday 24th March 2013.
All applicants who are appointed to lead an expedition will be paid $300 for the weekend. Potential leaders will come from all over Australia and will be responsible for their own travel costs. Meals and accommodation will be provided.
Preference will be shown to leaders who have the following:
- Extensive experience working with Australian high school students in an outdoor setting
- Independent travel experience, preferably in developing countries
- Wilderness first aid qualification
- 25 years or older
